The SSC has a membership of more than 6000 made up of several categories.  The Club also provides expatriate membership to foreign nationals on temporary residence in Sri Lanka, and maintains reciprocal membership with couple of overseas cricket clubs.

SSC's core sport is Cricket. The Club has introduced numerous other sports activities over the years such as Tennis, Swimming, Badminton, Squash, Billiards and a well equipped and one of the best Gymnasiums in Colombo.

The Club offers an amazing array of options for wine & dine. Al Fresco dining on the sprawling front lawns on a starlit night is an awesome experience, as is sipping a trendy cocktail at the air conditioned Centenary Bar overlooking the SSC cricket grounds.
